Nick D. Ungson, PhD
Principal Investigator
I am an Assistant Professor in the Psychology Department at Susquehanna University. My research interested are in group processes, humor, and morality.
I love soccer (let’s go Chelsea!!!), music, tennis, video games, pizza, and Pringles!
RESEARCH ASSISTANTS
Emily Erdman
Emily is a junior Psychology and Music double major at Susquehanna University. She is interested in group conformity and dissent. In her free time, she enjoys hanging with friends, playing piano, and running. After graduation, she plans on attending graduate school for clinical psychology.
Jeffrey Lind
Jeffrey is a senior Psychology and Spanish double major at Susquehanna University. His primary areas of interest are in both clinical and social psychology. He is looking to continue his education beyond graduation to pursue a career in clinical practice. Outside of school he is down to earth and enjoys playing various video games, listening to music, and spending time with those he cares about.
Rayne Beishline
Rayne is a sophomore Psychology major with a minor in Studio Art at Susquehanna University. She is primarily interested in identity and how it affects group behavior and relationships with others. In her free time, she enjoys drawing and dancing. After graduation, she plans on attending graduate school for clinical psychology.
Leroy Clark
Leroy is a senior Psychology major at Susquehanna University with minors in both Film and Honors. He plans on going graduate school. He is primarily interested in social psychology, and is currently completing an Honors Thesis project on the relationship between the psychological “need to belong” and religious attitudes and behaviors. Outside of the lab, he enjoys listening to music, playing video games, attending club meetings, and caring for his houseplants.
Madelyn Correllus
Madelyn graduated in December 2022 with Departmental, Latin, and University Honors as she earned a B.A. in Psychology and a B.A. in Music. She is interested in how identity affects the way we see and interact with the world. Next, she is planning on going to graduate school in sociology, gender studies, and/or social psychology.
In her free time, she enjoys writing songs, playing the flute, hanging out with friends, and reading romance novels.

Katie Bucher
Katie is a senior Psychology major and business management minor at Susquehanna University. She is a member of the SU Field Hockey team. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with friends and family, traveling, and being with her dogs. After graduation, she plans on attending graduate school to become a clinical counselor.
Johnnie Bryant
Johnnie graduated from Susquehanna University in 2023 as a Psychology major and Africana studies minor at . He plans on furthering his education by attending graduate school. In his free time, he enjoys watching scary movies and spending time with his friends. His hobbies are singing, dancing, and going to theme parks.
